I brought my Rottie, Xena, in for a small mass removal from her leg. Scheduling was super easy and Dr. H and her staff are incredibly friendly, efficient, and skilled. Dr. H does an excellent job of explaining the procedure and putting any worries you may have had at ease— you can tell she loves what she does and is truly here to help people afford care for their pets. My large breed 9 year old dog had a soft tissue sarcoma that had grown to be 3 inches large and needed to be removed as soon as possible. My vet recommended me to an oncologist, but quoted me $2000 to remove the mass (along with blood work, recovery medication, x-rays, and anesthesia) at their clinic. The oncologist quoted me multiple different prices due to test needing to be run but stressed that the mass did need to be removed sooner than later. Those prices ranged from $3000 and up. They did recommended me here if cost was a concern and Ace of Spays did not disappoint. The staff is very kind and truly loves what they do! Dr. Helmueller is very kind and thorough. She answered any questions I had and was very caring with my dog. You could tell that she and her staff deeply love animals. I was very lucky as they were able to get my dog in right after our consultation to have the mass removed. It's never easy to talk about money but they broke down the estimate of charges for me and went through them one by one to explain them to me. I was pleasantly surprised because I was still expecting a $2000 bill or more! My bill came out to about $1665 - ****PLEASE REMEMBER THIS AMOUNT IS JUST MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH THEM AND MY SPECIFIC SITUATION WITH MY DOG!!**** The staff stayed in touch with me throughout the process to let me know when my dog was going into surgery, coming out, how she was doing, and even followed up to check on her. They sent me home with all the necessary medications and a surgery suit to keep my dog's incision site protected. The directions they have me were easy to follow and they sat with me to ensure I understood before I departed so that my dog's recovery would be smooth. Finding out your dog has cancer is not easy and I had been fighting to put on a brave front since getting the news. When I was here at Ace of Spays for the first time I was able to relax and really felt that my dog was in good hands and that things going to be okay. (That is not to say her usual vet and the oncologist were not good. They are amazing and wonderful too, but those are separate reviews! It's just here I had finally had an option I could afford and my biggest worry was finally being taken away i.e. the mass being removed). I deeply appreciate that Ace of Spays opened to help owners like me that have financial difficulties but still want what is best for our pet and want to care for them the best we can. I cannot thank the staff enough for all they do for not just me but probably many other pet owners. I highly recommend them and will recommend them to any friends and family I have with pets! I'm so grateful to Dr. H and the team at Ace of Spays for taking such amazing care of my Corgi during her spay surgery. From start to finish, the experience was seamless and stress-free, thanks to their professionalism and kindness. The facility is modern and clean, and the surgical body suit they recommended made recovery a breeze. I am so glad we came across Ace Of Spays. My cat, after eating herself sick of hair elastics, needed emergency surgery to remove them from her stomach. No other vets in the area were able to get her in, let alone for a reasonable price. Ace of Spays took her in just an hour after calling for a very good price. My micro bully is having surgery today with them and ive got to say theu are the absolute most kind and caring vet I've ever come across, even just the staff. I have called about 1500 times today just worried and they're always answering on the first ring which is unheard of in my opinion for a vets office, and they answer any and every question I have no matter how trivial.
